Q is for Quitting

Don't.

Unless, of course you want to.

But, to me, as long as you're enjoying the writing, the creating, the process. You're making progress. Keep on keeping on.

Actually, the venerable Miss Snark's First Victim, had a great post about quitting or not quitting back on April 5. Check it out here.

I've also blogged not so famously on Literary Rambles about not throwing in the towel...

Not that we haven't all thought about it once or twice.

Great post, Kristine! Quitting is never an option... well, almost never. ;)

^Actually, I disagree. There are many instances where we are stuck in the wrong place at the wrong time, and quitting is the best option.

But if we are doing what we are passionate about and it is reasonable to assume it's working or will work out soon, then yeah, quitting shouldn't be an option then.

Personally, I've made the biggest improvements to my craft during the times when I felt most ambivalent or downright negative about writing. There is something about pushing through to a new stage of development in writing that makes me want to lie down with a cover over my head. When I get that quitting feeling, it's time to push harder. I'm just saying.
